The current campaign of posters on some buses "There probably is no God..." has stirred up people with views on both sides of the debate over the existence from God. There are Christians who have been delighted with the adverts, taking the view that the campaign gets people thinking and talking about God.Some Christians were so delighted that they gave a donation to the campaign. On the other hand there are atheists who don't like the campaign, arguing that it gives credibility to the debate by acknowledging the possibility that God may exists!
So what do you think? God - Yes or No.?
If you answered no, I'd like to encourage you to consider why you said no. Was it a decision you reached after careful consideration and painstaking research? The implications of such a decision are pretty big, so you'd think that people would take the time to consider the basis for their decision carefully - yet most of the people I have asked, have at best a vague personal theory to support their decision. It's often, something like well science has disproved God, hasn't it? If it has how come there have been so many eminent scientists who believe in God? By all means decide against the idea of God if you must, but doesn't such a significant decision on your behalf require more than a knee jerk reaction?
If you'd like to know more about the evidence for God by all means drop me a line via this blog's comments link. As for my view, well you can read a little of my personal experience here. Happy researching!
